On Friday, Vishal Sharma, the secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, stated that the organization took the issue seriously. The chairman of the Board, acting in accordance with Section 2.1.2 of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education Examination Regulations, 1993 (as amended as of July 2017), issued an order to immediately cancel the Class 12 English exam throughout the state.
He emphasized that any security breaches will not be accepted and that preserving the integrity of the examination process is of utmost importance. A new date for the re-examination will be announced in due course, the notification added, and students are encouraged to stay informed by following official Board communications.
The efficacy of the current board exam security measures has come under scrutiny in light of this incident. As a result, authorities are reviewing procedures to stop similar incidents from happening again. Parents and students have received assurances from the Board that those who violated the rules will face severe consequences.
