PM Modi inaugurates wildlife centre at Vantara, spends adorable moments with animals. The Vantara animal rescue and rehabilitation facility in Jamnagar was officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. The Prime Minister visited Gujarat for three days.
More than 2,000 species and more than 1.5 lakh rescued, threatened, and endangered animals can be found in Vantara. The PM had close interactions with a variety of the animals that were rehabilitated there.
The PM also went to Vantara’s wildlife hospital, which contains MRIs, CT scans, intensive care units, and more. The hospital has several departments, such as Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology, Endoscopy, Dentistry, and Wildlife Anesthesia.
Additionally, he went to the hospital’s MRI facility and saw an Asiatic Lion having an MRI. He also went to the Operation Theatre, where a leopard that had been injured by a car on the highway and taken here after being rescued was undergoing life-saving surgery.
Additionally, the PM was observed playing and feeding with a variety of animals, such as Asiatic and White Lion cubs. After his mother was saved and taken to Vantara for treatment, the White Lion cub that PM Modi nursed was born at the Center. Additionally, PM Modi was spotted giving a lion a high five.
Caracals and cubs of Clouded Leopards are among the endangered species that can be found in Vantara. Caracals are bred at Vantara as part of a breeding program to preserve them. Later, they are released into the wild.
The center’s rescued animals are housed in environments that closely resemble their native habitat. Programs for Asiatic Lions, Snow Leopards, One-Horned Rhinos, and others are among the center’s major conservation efforts.
A Golden Tiger and four white tigers who were brothers and rescued from a circus where they were forced to do feats were also presented to PM Modi.
The PM played affectionately with an orangutan, hugged it, and patted an Okapi. He also walked among zebras that were grazing. Additionally, he nursed a rhino calf that was left an orphan after her mother passed away at the institution, as well as a giraffe.
Additionally, he witnessed a giant python, a rare two-headed snake, a two-headed turtle, a tapir, and leopard cubs that had been abandoned in an agricultural field before being discovered and saved by villagers. Additionally, the PM went to see elephants relaxing in their jacuzzi.
\Elephants with foot issues and arthritis benefit from the hydrotherapy baths, which also increase their mobility and aid in their recuperation. Additionally, he saw the operations of the world’s largest hospital of its kind, the Elephant Hospital.
Additionally, he released parrots that had been saved at the facility. The PM also spoke with physicians, support personnel, and those in charge of overseeing the center’s numerous facilities.

A rare wildlife experience
PM Modi also had interactions with Snow Leopards, Golden Tigers, and four Snow Tiger brothers who had been saved from a circus. He also spent time with chimpanzees, crocodiles, a submerged hippopotamus, an Okapi, and a playful orangutan.
He hand-fed a giraffe and a rhino calf that was left orphaned at the facility after its mother died while strolling among grazing zebras. The prime minister witnessed a two-headed turtle, a rare two-headed snake, and a huge python.
PM Modi’s visit to world’s largest elephant hospital
PM Modi also took a tour of Vantara’s cutting-edge medical facility, which has specialized divisions for cardiology, nephrology, dentistry, endoscopy, and wildlife anesthetic.
He discovered the hydrotherapy pool at the biggest elephant hospital in the world, which improves the movement of elephants suffering from foot issues and arthritis.
He also spoke with medical professionals, employees, and personnel who devote their life to care for the rescued animals.
